Blood Donation Activity at ORI Polytec Composites

As part of the social and environmental responsibility program, PT. ORI Polytec Composites held a blood donation event for ORI employees. The social activity was attended by 180 people at OPC 1 PT. ORI Polytec Composites, on Saturday (25-02-2023). From the event, 107 blood bags were collected which were managed by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Karawang.

“This activity is also a series of social care for others”. There are around 200 employees who registered, but from the health screening results, 180 people passed,” explained the Head of HRGA Division of PT. ORI Polytec Composites, Bernadetha Ginting. “We realize how important positive activities such as blood donation are for the health of donors, especially for those who need blood transfusions. This is the first activity at PT. ORI Polytec Composites, in the future it will be held every three months,” she added.

One of the participants, Cheisya, stated that this was not her first experience as a blood donor. “The last time I donated blood was about six years ago. This time, I was motivated to participate because it was held at my workplace, so it was easy to reach,” she said. “In addition, the body also becomes healthier because donating blood encourages the re-production of blood cells,” added Cheisya, who is usually placed in the Project division.

Unlike Cheisya, Ery Andrian said this was her first time donating blood. “This is my first time donating blood. I was always scared before. After doing it, it turned out to be not as scary as I imagined,” she said, smiling sweetly. “Hopefully it will be useful and can help people who need blood transfusions,” concluded the female engineer who joined the Cost Control division. She monitors & controls the finances of PT. ORI Polytec Composites on a daily basis.

PT. ORI Polytec Composites as a catalyst for changes in lifestyle and community mobility always encourages social activities that have a positive impact on society, including health and the environment.
